Acid Reflux Milk

acid reflux or milk intolerance? hernia newborn?
I have 8 week old daughter, just recently (about a week) she starting gagging and spit up (a large amount, maybe 1-2 times/day).
We keep her in upright position and burp her well.
Oh, she fart a lot, sometime in the middle of the night, really loud.
So, because I'm new to all of this, we went to her ped today,her ped rulled out the acid reflux, and said she might have allergy reaction to cow's milk (she has alot of baby acne on her face and some skin bump on her neck).
So her ped gave us a can of Isomil to try it.
How long till we know she has allergy or acid reflux?
and how long the isomil start to work?
And her ped told me that my daughter has a slight umbilical hernia, but not to worry, because its really small, that her ped sure 99% will go away on its own.
What is this?
I notice her belly button will be out when shes crying.

It's so hard having a baby who doesn't seem to be totally healthy!
My 9 week old son has reflux (the doctor thinks), but he spits up large amounts constantly. 1-2 times a day is totally normal and shouldn't be cause for concern. Ours spits up at least 15-20 times a day - about 3 or 4 times during each feeding and then 4 or 5 times between feedings.
Babies are gassy - they do fart a lot, and it is generally pretty loud. You can try infant gas drops.
A lot of babies do better of Soy Formulas, and it takes a few days to see the results. Our doctor told us that often if they have a problem with milk, they'll have one with soy, too, and may need a hypoallergenic formula like nutramigen. It's prety expensive, but thankfully our doctor wrote a rx and wic is helping us out - it's about $250 per month for us.
