Acid Reflux Zegerid
Can't eat due to GERD/Acid Reflux...Has this happened to anyone before/ was it resolved?
I am a 19 year old female who was recently diagnosed with Gerd and went on a months worth of Zegerid and was fine and went off the meds as per the doctors request. About two months after this I had a severe GERD attack, but began taking the zegerid again only to find a week later I was only getting worse. I am now at the point where my throat feels like there is something in it all the time and I have shortness of breath plus my throat is extremely raw and painful. I still take the zegerid, but I cannot swallow food. I have eaten very little this past week and am on an all liquid diet. My doctor insists I can indeed swallow food because there is nothing really blocking my esophagus. I am going for an endoscopy on monday but I dont know what else that will do...has anyone ever experienced anything like this?? Will I EVER be able to eat again??
