Bacteria Causing Heartburn
Does anyone have info about Yersinia Enterocolitica?
I was recently found to of tested positive for yersinia entercoloitica from a recent hospital visit. I am wondering if anyone has any info on this disease. I am having a difficult time trying to get answers from doctors. I have done some research and found out some info about it but I cant seem to find a doctor that wants to listen to me.
This is the info that I have found that I find relevant to my situation.
- I have pets (cats) and worked with training race horses.
- Had a mass removed from my stomach earlier this year that they dont know where they came from. (I was not perviously tested for the bacteria until after the surgery / I read that persistant infection can cause abdominal masses)
- The bacteria can live well in conditions where the PH balance is altered by constant antacid use and histamine 2 blockers. (I have acid reflux so I use Nexium sometimes and antacids for heartburn)
I am also looking for anyone who has on knows someone who has had this before!!!!!
If you test positive, and feel OK, the worst thing is that you might be a carrier. Hygeine is important!
