Horrible Heartburn :( 24 weeks pregnant?

I am 24 weeks pregnant and I have horrible heartburn. To the point where the acid comes right into my throat and burns so bad. Now my throat is sore and almost feels like my chest is sore to. Do you think this has to do with the heartburn or do you think i am getting a cold? i am also weak, but i had lack of sleep due to the heartburn getting me up at night. I have a doctors appointment on may 8th I will be telling him the same thing. Thanks for all the advice :)
