Why do I get heartburn when I exercise?

I get heartburn when I exercise. I run for 20 minutes (at a 7 min. mile pace) five days a week and weight train for 1 1/2 hours on three of those days. I used to run more, and weight train 4 days, but I just recently eased off because I have been getting sick/feeling crappy/getting heartburn, and I think it has something to do with my workout. I have heard of overtraining muscles, but can you overtrain your cardio-vascular system? I am struggling to find answers, and my heartburn gets worse even as I ease my workout routine. Any ideas about this would be much appreciated.

You probably have G.E.R.D. Gastro Esophagul Reflux Disease. It's a very common disorder that involves stomach acid backing up into the esophagus. Many things can cause an attack and exercise is one of them. I know because I have it. Best thing to take is Pepcid Complete.
