Foods That Trigger Heartburn

Is it gallstones or something else?

I have cholecystitis and am waiting on an ultrasound to see if ti's gallstones. While I have pain in my upper back occassionally, heartburn and pain under the right ribs I can't help but notice that the pain I have isn't crippling like other people describe and I only vomited once so far in months. It also doesn't seem to be triggered by food only, sometimes sitting funny or just randomly it kicks in. Is it likely to be gallstones still? The ultrasound is NHS so looong waiting time
Thanks for your answers. I don't have to wait for the ultrasound results sorry, it's the appointment I have to wait for. Rubbish!

I understand Cholecystitis is the gall bladder wall being inflamed but gall stones are not the only cause of this.

Thanks again!

Yes, depending on the size of the stones, they can completely or partly block the gallbladder, thus giving some people symptoms different than yours. Try avoiding spicy and greasy foods while you get your test results.
