SHOULD I HAVE MY GALLBLADDER REMOVED?
IM A 25 YEAR OLD FEMALE RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH GALLBLADDER SLUDGE AND I WAS TOLD I HAVE A POLYP ON THE WALL AS WELL! I HAD MY FIRST ATTACK IN 2007 AND HAVE HAD ABOUT 7-10 MORE SINCE THEN! IT HURTS SO BAD...I THOUGH I HAD FOOD POISONING OR SOMETHING...I HAVE NEVER ACTUALLY PUKED FROM IT BUT I FEEL NAUSEOUS OFTEN! I HAVE BLOATING ALMOST EVERYDAY ALONG WITH GAS & HEARTBURN...THE PAIN N MY BACK NOW RADIATED TO MY SHOULDER AS WELL! IM AFRAID TO HAVE THE SURGERY BECAUSE OF THE HORIBBLE STORIES ON SIDE EFFECTS IVE READ ABOUT....LIKE DIARRHEA THATS UNCONTROLLABLE AND THE POSIBLITY OF SLUDGE BACKIN UP IN MY LIVER CAUSIN A SLEW OF OTHER ISSUES!! I don't know where you got all these horror stories from, but they are all just a bunch of nonsense. Millions of people have had their gallbladders removed and have no problems whatsoever. I am one of them. As a matter of fact, I didn't even know I had my gallbladder removed until long after it had been taken out. I had a liver transplant and they automatically remove the gallbladder at the same time. I wasn't aware of that. It did not cause me any problems. I have numerous friends and relatives that have had their taken out and they are happy they are gone. The surgery is done lapriscopically now and most times as an outpatient. Having a bad gallbladder is quite miserable and can actually create a lot of problems with gallstones, infection, etc. You don't need it and I don't know anyone complaining about side effects later in all the people I know that have had theirs removed. Toughen up and get that taken out and stop listening to a bunch of nonsense.
