Heartburn Bacteria

Pain in my mid back not caused by orthopedic problem?
I have had a pain for about 4 years now. It gets aggravated when I eat processed food, it used to go away when I took antacids (stopped this week), feels like someone poking me in the back with their thumb. Sometimes goes away on its own for a few hours, I burp a lot, its like concentrated major heartburn. I was checked for piloric ulcer bacteria (blood test) and nothing.
I have elevated liver enzymes, no hepatitis, likely a fatty liver. Doc was more concerned with the liver than the pain in my back, but the pain is bothering me, the liver is not.
Diagnosis?
Hurts worse when I need to have a BM, or when I am full, I can feel the coldness at the pain site when I drink really cold water.
I am 28 years old, and overweight but not super overweight. Liver enzymes are only slightly elevated.
The Dr. has more concern for the liver than the pain in your back for a good reason. Your liver enzymes are elevated. This is not normal and could indicate an underlying disease process and could be the source of your back pain. The elevated enzymes could be caused by fatty liver and needs further evaluation and a better diet if your overweight. Have you been checked for an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm?
Causes Of Heartburn: Drill Down To The Real Reasons For Heartburn
Notwithstanding the many popular texts that point to aspects of lifestyle and eating particular foods, the real underlying reasons for heartburn encompass a larger selection of factors with genetic, lifestyle and dietary elements. Just like other chronic illnesses, heartburn is a result of overlapping and multiple causes.
If heartburn happens twice per week or more frequently, a graver medical condition known as acid reflux disease may exist. This is also known as GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease). Even healthy people may experience heartburn up to once per week. Heartburn is the name for the sensation of burning or searing around the chest or throat. This frequently manifests itself after a meal.
A sphincter, the LES or Lower Esophageal Sphincter, should normally only open to let food and drink flow into the intestinal system and should not allow stomach contents to flow in the opposite direction. But in reflux situations, the LES is debilitated and stomach contents can reflux into the esophagus, damaging the cells in the wall lining and causing pain. GERD is the result of two physiological issues: the first is excess stomach acidity; and the second is the weakened sphincter (LES) which no longer functions correctly to cordon off the stomach from the esophagus.
As mentioned above, several related factors result in a weakened LES or too high a level of stomach acidity. Amongst these factors are:
1. Characteristics passed on from one generation to another.
2. Lifestyles, where stress from lack of sleep, emotional pressure or excess of work provoke problems, as does smoking. This plays havoc with the digestion, attacks the immune system and favors Candida multiplication, which then contributes to acid reflux disease.
3. Infections from Candida. In certain circumstances, Candida microbes grow fast and spread throughout the body. These microorganisms then ferment and cause stomach contents to be rejected back into the esophagus, where inflammation and degradation of the esophageal cells then takes place. Note that Candida is normally present anyway in the human body, including the intestinal and genital areas. Under normal conditions, Candida is balanced out by friendly bacteria with no negative impact to the body.
4. Diet patterns, as in the regular and frequent eating of foods that provoke acid production, such as chocolates, peppermint, tomatoes and citrus fruits. Also, eating foods that are fatty or spicy and that weaken the LES, or foods that are hard to digest, can worsen acid reflux.
Whereas conventional medicine only acts at a superficial level and is only concerned with the symptoms, a holistic, all-natural solution attacks the fundamental reasons to provide the only real secure and workable remedy for acid refluxes. To cut out heartburn and prevent its recurrence, the root causes must be addressed and this is what the holistic approach does.
