Heartburn Burning Man
What is wrong with me? Anybody else have these symptoms?
I'm female, 39, smoker, and about 10 pounds overweight. I having the following:
Pain in middle back
Pain in stomach and just under ribs
Random pains in middle of chest and sides/ribs
Burning in throat and stomach almost daily - heartburn, I guess??
Shortness of breath sometimes
Here is what I've had done:
Every blood test known to man (2x in last year) - Normal
Disease Panel (bloodwork - 2x in last year) - Normal
Chest XRay (About 1 year ago) - Normal
Spirometry (about 2 months ago) - Lung Capacity is 99%
CT Scan Abdomin/Pelvic (about 3 months ago) - Normal
I'm tired of hurting every day, and hate to go to my dr again - he thinks I'm a hypochondriac... maybe I am. lol
Has anyone else experienced these symptoms?
I am by no means a doctor and I don't want to scare you, but I recently read an article about female heart attacks...some of those symptoms were included. Female heart attacks are completely different from male; some women are unaware that they've even had a heart attack because the symptoms seem so mild and uncommon for a heart attack. Thirty-nine seems too young, but with smoking, anything is possible (I used to smoke and I had lots of health problems). Sorry I can't be more help, but don't let a doctor discourage you; if you know something is wrong, get a second opinion if that's what it takes. Good luck!
