Heartburn Dangerous
Have had an immovable knot under the skin on my left shin for a long time. Is this dangerous?
Now I am having some real health problems...swollen, distended abdomen (very little pain except a lot of heartburn, mostly a lot of discomfort...feeling like some is large or swollen inside and abnormal movements in belly and back...not pregnant...possible IBS), digestive related problems, and various discomforts and numbness on the left side of my body...currently having GI workup...recent endoscopy...do have a few problems there (causes of heartburn revealed, etc)...scheduled for other GI workup soon...this is all too wierd...don't think the knot is connected to the vast array of symptoms, but am curious about it while I am in the process of having medical tests done for other things...was wondering if anyone knows if it might be dangerous...
The points which decide its significance are-
How long has it been there? Is it remaining of the same size or enlarging? Is there pain?
A swelling which is painless and has not increased in size while staying there for pretty long time is prolly benign and not dangerous. Best would be to ascertain this by your doctor.
