Heartburn During Second Trimester

Very end of first trimester feeling...?

Hello everyone! I am at the very end of my first trimester (11 wks) and have this overwhelming full feeling all the time. Even if I just have a few sips of water, I just feel full. I have had morning sickness that has been bad enough for my doctor to give me meds, and also approved some OTC heartburn meds. I feel like I don't want to eat because I do feel so full. Is this normal? Does anyone else have this too? Did it go away during the second trimester?

Thanks in advance :)

I am in the same situation, crazy. I think we're pregnancy twins :P
I am just barely 12 weeks, and have no appetite, only because I already feel full.
I went 24 hours this week in a row with no food..just cause I didn't feel hungry so eating didn't even cross my mind. I feel horrible about that.

My morning sickness went away one week ago, but your feeling full could possibly because you still have some sickness.
Since you were sick for so long, your stomach has probably gotten used to not having much in it, or getting rid of it right away. So now you have to re-stretch your stomach.
I know this happens with a lot of women who go on diets, and then..y'know..fail haha.
They start feeling full way sooner because they have shrank their stomach.

Sorry it's not a good answer, cause I'm still in that stage.
But here's hoping it will go away in our second trimester.

I think it's normal. I've had a lot of friends and family tell me it is..
I'll definitely ask my doctor next appointment though.

3Rd Trimester - Changes In Your Spouse’S Body

According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, some of the same discomforts your spouse had in your second trimester will continue. Plus, many women find breathing even more difficult and notice they have to go to the bathroom even more often. This is because the baby is getting bigger and it is putting more pressure on her organs. Don't worry, your baby is fine and these problems will lessen once your spouse gives birth.

The following aches and pains often appear for the first time during the third trimester:

  • Heartburn
  • Swelling of the ankles, fingers, and face. If you notice any sudden or extreme swelling in your spouse or if she gains a lot of weight really quickly, call your doctor right away. This could be a sign of preeclampsia or toxemia.
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Tender Breasts
  • Trouble Sleeping

As your spouse near her due date, her cervix becomes thinner and softer (called effacing). This is a normal, natural process that helps the birth canal (vagina) to open during the birthing process. Your doctor can check your spouse’s progress with a vaginal exam.

Weight Gain

According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, everyone gains weight at different rates. On average, it is normal to gain about one pound per week, or three to four pounds per month, during the third trimester.

By the end of the pregnancy your spouse should have gained, on average, about 25 to 30 pounds. About 7 1/2 pounds of that weight should be the baby.
