upper back pain?
i have upper back pain that feels like heartburn only its in my back i take stuff like tums w/ no relief i dont wanna go to the doc if its nothin no big deal so anyone have any ideas bout what it might b?
Hi fleagurl
It could be one of a few things - joints/ribs in your upper back being tight; some muscle spasm in the area; or your diaphragm which commonly causes heartburn.
All of these are not serious and usually can settle themselves down quickly. If it is ongoing or coming back all the time then you need to do a few things.
Pilates is good for strength and flexibilty, but waiting 9 monhts to get pain relief is waiting 9 months too long. Pain should settle with any technique within a week or two - no matter how long you have had it.
Try some stretches, Acupressure or other techniques to ease the pain. Do things your self first and then if things do not settle quickly, it would pay to see someone - a Chiro,PT or medic.
But got to the link below and try some techniques and you should be able to remove the pain your self.
All the best.
