Heartburn Won't Stop

what foods can I eat if I get heartburn? details included.?
Recently, I've started getting really bad heartburn (haven't gone to the doctor, don't need to, I know why I get it) and I take OTC medicine for it but I still try and be careful about what I eat. what foods can I eat that won't give me heartburn? particularly fruits because I love fruit so much but have had to stop eating it because apparently, it gives you heartburn. so what can I eat? thanks in advance for answers
For fruits avoid citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruits, and lemons because it increases the acid in your stomach which leads to heart burn. Apples, bananas, grapes, strawberry, plums, pears, kiwi, and melons shouldn't give you any trouble.
I would avoid foods high in fat and red sauces. I really struggle when eating spheghetti or eating chips and salsa. Limit the amount of barbecue sauce and ketchup you but on foods. Also, cut back on caffiene and alcohol as it will stimulate heartburn. If you do drink either do it in small amounts on a full stomach.
For carbs bread, rice, cereal, potatoes, and pasta is fine as long as they're not too fattening or have red sauce on them.
White meats like chicken without fat and skin, fish and seafood, and lean red meats either broiled or grilled. Rice, baked or mashed potato, pasta, steamed or cooked vegetables, and mild tomato sauce.
Hope this helps.
