Rye Bread Heartburn
Recipe for Hanky Panky's?
The little rye breads with sausage and cheese....???
I looked up online and every website has something different! I can't have it too spicy... I'm pregnant and the heartburn will be terrible...
How do you make yours???
What kind of sausage? do you use ground beef as well... what kinda of cheese works best?
I'm also from Ohio! Must be an Ohio thing!
Me being from NY, and my husband from Ohio, I never heard of these until his parents made them once! They also called htem sh*t on a brick! They don't use an exact recipe, though:
1 # sausage (one of those huge logs, like a breakfast sausage)
2 # ground beef
oregano
velveeta
He says the spiciness comes form the sausgae. So you cook the meats, then melt the cheese in, and mix it all together, put on the rye bread, and bake!
