Severe Heartburn At Night
What would cause lung pain, almost like severe heartburn, upon lying down for bed at night?
There's a good chance you have a common condition called "GERD." This is where the little valve that normally keeps the stuff in the stomach can't close tightly, and stomach acid leaks back into your esophagus. You can alleviate it by elevating your chest higher than your stomach (such as putting pillows under your shoulders,) not drinking fluids just before going to bed (especially caffiene,) and taking something like generic Pepcid or Zantac at night to stop stomach acid from forming. If this doesn't help after a few days, I do suggest you see a doctor.
