Symptoms Of Heartburn Chest Pain
Would excessive cigarette smoking cause chest pain?
Hi, I am 26 never had heart problems, neither it runs in a family. I smoke about a pack and a half a day(that's a lot I know), recently my chest started to hurt, in the middle, where the heart is located. Went to see a doc, X-rays, ekg and blood enzymes came back normal.
The pain feels like heart attack, tight, squizzed and heavy and comes and goes away and no other "accompanied" symptoms. Doc said it might me heartburn, I've been taking prilosec for 2 weeks, didn't help at all.
Chest pain usually occurs in the middle of the day and lasts for about 3-5 minutes for about 5 times with 1-2 hours of intervals. somedays more often than that. Pain "softens" when I lay down. Could it be:
1. early stage of lung cancer?
2. Chest bone -itis?
3. chest muscle tensions?
4. early undiagnosed heart problems?
any ideas?
P.S. I do smoke greenstuff sometimes to relieve anxiety that helps me to alleviate chest pain as well.
